Icespeedway Finnish Championship was in Forssa. Antti Aakko was the strongest canditade for the title and his biggest rivals were Kai Lehtinen and Tommy Flyktman.

The race was going like it was thought to go in advance. Aakko, Flyktman and Lehtinen were winning heat after another. Heat 18 was the decisive. Those galdiators were all on this heat and they all had scored maksimum 12 points so far. Aakko took a great start and was leading all the way from start to finish. Flyktman came second but he had absolutely no change to challenge Aakko. Lehtinen was third.

Jouni Seppänen was 4th. Jouni was suffering poor starts but he was storming on the track and made some nice overtakes.

Mats Järf from Vaasa was 6th in his very first finnish final.
